CodeSubmit provides technical assessment software and operates the CodeSubmit marketing site and application. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices available to customers, candidates, and website visitors.

What we collect

We collect the information needed to run the service, including account details such as name, email address, company information, billing details handled through our payment providers, candidate profile data supplied by our customers, and technical diagnostics such as IP address, browser information, and request logs.

How we use information

We use this information to operate the platform, authenticate users, administer technical assessments, provide support, prevent abuse, send essential service communications, process billing, and improve the reliability and security of the product.

Candidate and customer data

When a hiring organization uses CodeSubmit to run assessments, that organization controls the candidate data collected in the hiring process. CodeSubmit processes that data on the customer's behalf in order to provide the service.

Analytics and tracking

We do not use Google Analytics, Google Tag Manager, advertising pixels, or ad retargeting scripts. The CodeSubmit marketing site uses a CodeSubmit-managed Plausible analytics endpoint for privacy-focused traffic measurement only. The product application does not load Google tracking scripts.

Cookies and browser storage

We use essential cookies and local browser storage for authentication, security, session continuity, and product preferences. We do not use advertising cookies.

Sharing

We share data only with service providers that help us deliver the product, such as hosting, payment processing, email delivery, support tooling, and infrastructure monitoring, or when required by law.

Retention

We retain information for as long as needed to provide the service, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, enforce agreements, and honor customer retention settings where applicable.

Your choices

You may request access, correction, export, or deletion of your personal information by contacting [email protected]. If you are a candidate, your hiring organization may also be the right first point of contact because it controls the assessment process.
